Should I audition for the Disney Cruise Line?

So I’m reading online about upcoming Disney auditions and I noticed a role that I was interested in for the disney cruise line. Like the auditions at Disneyland It says the age limit is 18 and older and 9 month contracts begin in may and June. I’m 17 currently however my birthday is may 2nd so do you think I should just go for it?? Do you think showing up would be bad cause I’m not 18?? Cause I will definitely be 18 before the contract starts. Opinions pleas!

You mean "affect", I think.

disney cruise line ships don’t negatively affect the environment any more than the ships from any other line. Maybe the DON’T in fact negatively affect the environment in three ways.

If you’re doing a project, then that means YOU need to do some research. I’d guess you can find info on this topic by doing a search on the topic.

I just got a job as a performer for the disney wonder and im getting nervous because im reading that people think its terrible. If you have worked there can you tell me what I can expect, whats good and whats bad about it? Maybe tell me what the days are like and how I can prepare for it. Thanks

You work every day, mostly all day. Your living quarters are like matchboxes, and there’s only one tiny room where employees are allowed to socialize. It’s called the Officers’ Bar, and it’s perpetually filled with smoke and sticky with spilled booze. There are always loud parties going on in there.

You are required to do additional work on the ship besides the performance you are booked for, such as helping with safety drills.

Well, as a previous answer stated, Nickelodeon is not a cruise line but a themed cruise through NCL. As far as I can tell they do not run on all sailings although I may be wrong. Disney on the other hand runs their program on each sailing so you do not have to worry about trying to find the one cruise out of several that is themed. Both would provide similar entertainment for children so you should base your decision on the area you wish to travel in, the activities that you and your wife may want to enjoy, and what your children enjoy.

I would like to say that it is unlikely however that you will find a specific activity or club for a child as young as 2 (Disney starts at age 3 for their first club) however you may find babysitting services available on the ship to allow you and your wife some quality time.

I tried looking on their website and I can’t find any straight forward information on what DCL provides on Nassau.
I heard that you can take a taxi to Nassau and spend the day there, but I am more interested in what Disney does for the guests, so if anyone has got any information or has been there, please answer. Thanks!

The Disney cruise ships berth in downtown Nassau, so you are already just a short walk from the main street "Bay street". and the Straw market. These sell the usual holiday maker souveneir stuff plus jewelry and perfumes. Every thing seems to close down around 6pm including most bars and cafe’s as people head back to the cruise ships. One bar tends to stay open and caters for the under 21 americans who cant drink on board, they end up getting drunk, but they charge way over the odds for beer, $6 for a bottle. If you fancy a 20 min walk past the Colonial Hilton hotel follow the road along the beach to what’s called the ‘fish fry’, it’s a load of bars and cafes with music,. you will get beer for $3 max and meet up with the locals and some night life and local food. This place only opens up and gets going after 6 – 7pm until late.
As for what Disney does for their guests, I dont know, what you have to realise is that the Bahamas is a 3rd world country so straying off the beaten track is not really advisable. Paradise island is worth a visit and Nassau have a swimmy with Dolphins trip just off the coast.
